PAULA WHITE SUPPORTS A MORE EXCELLENT WAY

PWM Supports A More Excellent Way Ministries, offering pro-life alternatives for crisis pregnancies, while educating the community on the sanctity of human life. Founded by ordained ministers Hugh and Jennifer Lopes in Mobile, Alabama, A More Excellent Way Ministries offers counseling, alternatives, and options to women who are experiencing crisis during their pregnancies and considering abortion. The organization also works to educate the community on the sanctity of human life. Jennifer’s own story strongly influenced the direction of the pro-life ministry. Jennifer shares on their website how it was her own process of choosing not to terminate the life of their then-unborn son Caleb that led her to pursue this line of ministry counseling: “When my counselor prayed for me, I heard God say to me, ‘Run to Me and not away from Me!’ In that moment, I decided to keep my baby. God had always made a way for me and what could be any different this time? She then put some prenatal vitamins into my hands, and I felt powerful, as if I could immediately do something to show my baby and God that I would honor them both. With no money and no parental support, those vitamins gave me hope.” PWM recently supported the ministry’s “Luncheon for Life,” bringing families and community members together to raise awareness regarding the alternatives to abortion. The luncheon featured performances by young children, including 13 year-old Caleb’s touching account of the story of his mother’s journey toward saving his life. Under former college baseball player Hugh’s leadership, A More Excellent Way also provides discipleship training for athletes of all ages and level. Other ministry outreaches include chapel services, the “Widow’s Night Out” fellowship ministry, and a “Boot Camp” ministry for incarcerated youth.
